  1. Do you screen your caregivers?
    Yes, Astin Home Care screens its employees and exceeds the State’s requirements. Before hiring and sending to your home, we verify their caregiver credentials, national criminal background, current CPR/First Aid, employment history, sex offender registry, Certified Nurse Aide Registry, confirm eligibility to work in the US, and more.

  2. Does Medicare pay for in-home care services for my parents while I go to work?
    Unfortunately, Medicare doesn’t pay for consecutive hours of care in the home for personal support services. Medicare does pay for skilled care, i.e., Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Skilled Nursing.

  3. How much does in-home care services cost?
    The cost varies based on the level of care and hours needed. Call us now to discuss your specific needs, and we will provide a cost for care. Ask about our “New Client” special.

  4. Do I have to sign a contract?
    No, you are not required to sign a contract committing you to a specific term/time-frame. We are regulated by the Georgia Department of Community Health, HFR; therefore, we do have an agreement to ensure compliance. You can stop service anytime you like without penalty. We only want you to remain a client because we love providing you with our services.

  5. Are the caregivers trained and have experience?
    Yes, all of our caregivers are Certified Nurse Aides in good standing with the State of Georgia’s CNA Registry. Astin Home Care also provides ongoing training throughout the year.

  6. How do we get started using your home care services?
    We have made the process of starting in-home care services very simple. Call us and speak to our friendly care coordinator. She will ask you a few questions about your needs or love one needs to assure you that we can serve. Then she will schedule a complimentary visit to meet you and anyone else involved in the care decision in your home.

  7. How do you manage care in the home?
    Astin Home Care has Registered Nurses who oversee the care of all the clients. They conduct a comprehensive assessment, develop a customized plan of care, and ensures the caregiver understands how to adhere to the plan and provide services accordingly. The RN will also conduct Supervisory Visits to ensure the level of care is still appropriate, residents are satisfied, and more.

  8. Are you licensed?
    Yes, Astin Home Care is licensed, bonded, and insured. We take pride in protecting our clients, employees, and business.
